The formulation of KELTAMIL® Fe consists of an organic iron salt in a solid state which, in a solution, forms the stable chelate Fe EDDHA (o-o) with a pH- dependent stability range from 3.5 to 9.5 pH units. As a non-ionic molecular species, it presents effective systemicity when applied by fertigation or spraying.
Its application is advisable to prevent iron chlorosis in citrus, fruit trees, vegetables, olive trees, grapevines and ornamentals. The absorption via soil is totally free of blockages due to excess alkalinity, since it is a stable molecular species and not an ionic species, which ensures Fe assimilation and catalyses the chlorophyll function to avoid the effects of chlorosis.
The appropriate time of application is at the beginning of sprouting. In the case of citrus crops it is also recommended before the summer sap movement. In a curative regime, with the first symptoms of chlorosis, repeat applications every 15 days.
