NICIS® is a natural product with biofungicidal effects based on sodium hydrogen carbonate. Its fast-acting mode of action is both preventive and curative, particularly effective against various types of powdery mildew (Sphaerotheca spp., Oidium spp., Uncinula necator) and apple scab (Venturia inaequalis), as well as storage diseases such as blue mold (Penicillium italicum) and green mold (Penicillium digitatum).

Its mechanism of action relies on the osmotic pressure exerted by carbonate and bicarbonate ions, which damage the fungal cell wall by disintegrating and drying out hyphae and spores, ultimately causing cell death. NICIS® can be used alongside systemic fungicides and is free from chemical residues.
